The Island of Rodrigues and its Biodiversity
Rodrigues is a volcanic island rising from a ridge along the edge of the Mascarene plateau in the Indian Ocean. Rodrigues Island is a conservation laboratory for the tropics. A special program for the reforestation and the protection of the flora in Rodrigues has become a top priority. The people of Rodrigues have shown a genuine enthusiasm in the cultivation process of endemic plants and are working hard to preserve their natural heritage.
Rodrigues houses many endemic species, among them the famous Limon de Rodrigues and its coral reefs but also other numerous plants and animals. The symbol of this Island, the iconic Giant Tortoises, once extinct, were re-introduced in 2007. These herds fill an essential role in the island’s ecosystem and the regeneration of its forests.
Limon de Rodrigues: The Green Treasure
This endemic citrus possesses exceptional qualities — grown on the island’s limestone and volcanic soil it has remained in its original state over the past three centuries. Hundreds of years untouched, we have intertwined its essence with that of flowers, wood, or spices in each of our unique compositions. This Limon is extremely fresh with a characteristically zesty top note. Juicy, highly fragrant, and sweeter than other lemons, it is also described as floral and complex. A treasure with exceptional aromas, it is a fragrant testament to the island’s soul.
The Limon de Rodrigues is grown responsibly by local farmers as a potential source of revenue for their community. With the support of various organizations and thanks to training programs, we aim at developing and professionalizing the Limon de Rodrigues production stream. We help promote alternative production with pesticide-free methods and we provide solutions to improve harvesting methods and post-harvest storage and transportation conditions.

OUR COMMITMENTS
Responsible Ingredients
We are dedicated to sourcing ingredients that prioritize both sustainability and quality. Our fragrances are made with up to 65% natural and naturally derived raw materials. Where natural resources are scarce, we use Green Chemistry synthetics to minimize environmental impact. We also upcycle byproducts from other industries such as zests and peels, transforming them into new, valuable expressions of iconic ingredients.
Sustainable Packaging
Our packaging is crafted with the environment in mind. The glass bottles are fully recyclable, caps contain 40% plant-based bioresin from linseed and canola oils, and our boxes are 100% paper, which makes them fully recyclable. Each element of our packaging reflects our commitment to sustainability.
Uncompromising Safety Standards
Safety is at the heart of everything we create. Our products meet strict health and beauty regulations and are formulated without parabens, phthalates, formaldehyde and endocrine disruptors. We are transparent about our ingredient practices, fostering trust and confidence in our customers. In addition, we are proud to be vegan and cruelty-free.
Community Support & Social Impact
We actively support the communities in our supply chain. For instance, 75% of the farmers involved in our Limon cultivation are women, using pesticide-free, traditional, and sustainable methods. To reduce waste, we work with farmers to explore innovative uses for Limon and support vocational training programs. Collaborations with organizations like CIRAD help us promote the professionalization of Limon cultivation, encouraging economic growth and community development.
