From Science to the shores of Rodrigues Island
The story begins in France in the pharmaceutical and dermo-cosmetic industry. Jean-Louis Roule learns a craft: discovering, transforming, and showcasing active ingredients.
In the early 2000s, Mauritius becomes his home base. He creates the Centre International de Développement Pharmaceutique (CIDC), which becomes an internationally recognized partner. His gaze quickly turns toward the Indian Ocean, rich in forgotten treasures: an exceptional biodiversity, an immense African pharmacopoeia carrying within it stories that few people have taken the time to discover.

On the island of Rodrigues, Jean-Louis Roule discovers simple, generous men, with a disarming authenticity, a raw and unspoiled land, and a fruit that exists nowhere else.
